I would like to say congratulations to Dave on having a great first show today,well done mate.I've never seen so many whippets in a field at the same time.Alot of lads and lassies from the North,to all of you,thanks very much for your support.However can i say that i felt a little let down with regards the support from the show organizers down south.Anyone who knows Dave will know that he travels to every show on the southern circuit never missing one with a full trailer load of dogs.He is himself a topclass lurcher judge and a genuine dogman so alittle more support from the south would have been nice to see.Nevertheless a great first effort,hopefully the first of many.

im from the south and i go to all the shows would loved to be at the show yesterday as i qualified for the champion of champions but my buddy changed his van and couldnt get it taxed i dont drive myself

Probably best you didn't make it, the judge for the whippets in the 32 counties thought he was booked for whippet wrestling. One of the worst whippet judging I've seen. Apart from that, it was a really good show, and well set up. Fair play to the organisers.

must say had a great day ,would totally agree with aslan very disappointed with the support from the south hard to understand ,fair play to all our good friends up north dedicated bunch of dog people who always support a good cause , thought the judges done well not an easy job and always open to stick but somebody has to do it ,im sure john shaw feels differently about the 32 counties whippet judge lol ,some result well done and well deserved and lovely to see blue 999 and 998 back with bear after nearly losing him recently (great vet choice guys) , well done again dave and crew, oh and dunphy clan great people paddy your a ledgend.

I would like to thank every single person from the north south east and west for supporting the first show yesterday it was a bit of a let down with the lack of support from the southern area but it was a great day thanks to all the judges and club members and lets hope we see yaz all next year...

We had a great day yesterday. Lovely weather, great field, overall it was a good turnout, despite a few familiar faces missing. Good atmosphere and the rings were busy all day. Pity about a particular group of people, trying their hand (literally) at relieving people of their personal possessions - not just this show, but unfortunately for most of the southern shows, it's a shame cars have to be locked up and people have to keep tabs on all their stuff, if only this didn't happen, it'd make for a better day.

 

Should've brought a notebook with me for all the tips and advice and good contacts we got from so many people yesterday, regarding Bear and his illness, and thanks Ged, for your wise words of wisdom, but we got him back and he had a nice quiet day yesterday hanging out with the other dogs.

 

Well done to the show organisers, everything went very smoothly.

Rollerman, sorry you couldn't make it to the show. If you qualified for the 32 counties, you might be qualified for the All Ireland championship on 8th September, up north at the Field of Dreams- you'll have to check with someone who knows. I know it's a good drive from Cork, but you might be able to sort a lift with someone. Dave.

I had a very enjoyable day yesterday, enjoyed everyone's company, Margaret and myself did have some good laughts, the only thing i didn't like about yesterday was having to get up at 5.30
