Saluki246 1,053
Apparently, most pet insurance company's in the uk, wont insure pure salukis, due to them being a liability around farm live stock, ie chasing sheep ect? Did not know this, wonder if it is the same here in Ireland?? Quote Link to post

Saluki246 1,053
Agree lads, its crazy i think, what kind of crap is that!! Just what i heard yesterday about the insurance, salukis need to run, they can not be kept on leads all the time! . I was out this morning with mine, i walked about 10 miles, he ran twice as more, his tounge hardly came out, he came back and wanted more..took him out and he ran a fallow threw several fields, had no chance of catching it, as the fallow was miles off when he first seen it, but he tryed and i really thought at one stage he was going to get it, but it was gone, he is still wanting more, so to keep him on the lead, would be madness....lol.. desertbred 5,490
you would have to lie to the insurance anyway if the saluki got injured working anyway so they would look at every angle to get out of paying anything just put the premium money in a jar and hope you never need it 3 Quote Link to post
