my wife sent a friend request to the facebook page so we could see the photos, my daughter was 1st in Whippet baby pup class and 2nd in childs handling class, would like to see the photos! can you accept the request? Thanks, proud dad :toast:

What's her name on Facebook then I can accept the request for you. There are no friend requests from anyone with the surname Tucker at the moment :hmm:

Thanks to everyone who attended yesterdays show, donated to the raffle or helped in any way................all greatly appreciated. There were 30 dogs raced in total, and the Grade A final was one of the closest finishes we've ever had!

I judged the childrens handling and I have to say each and every child could put us adult handlers to shame! Their concentration and patience with their dogs was great to see.................it was very difficult to choose the winners.

Was a really enjoyable day, as it always is. The club should be proud with the numbers they got on Sunday, and how well it was run. Really looking forward to the final one. Might have to get a longer muzzle for ollie if its going to be that close again lol

It pays to have a horse's head at times like that :D:D Ollie should be getting a trophy for best improved dog over the season  he has knuckled down big time on the racing end of things,,,, I put it down to my fishing rod trick :whistling::D:D :D I need that back tomorrow too, going fishing in Donaghgadee for Mackeral.

Was (as always) a great relaxed atmosphere at the show yesterday with a good crowd, and on a personal note it was great to see my wee mate Kieran there (handing out abuse as usual :D ) . Some cracking new pups on show yesterday (some, almost as nice as my Barney) :tongue2::D and that can only be good for the club moving forward in the years to come. Its also great to see so many kids getting involved showing off their prized whippets as a few others have said. The racing was nail biting stuff yesterday with my daughter Kirsty's dog and my own dog in the grade A final ,but thankfully I WON and my reputation as the family's top dog person stayed intact plus I didn't have to cut her out of my will. :D My whole family enjoy every one of the Sporting Whippet meetings and that's what its all about at the end of the day so well done to the members of the club that make that happen at every meet. We are disappointed that we wont be able to attend the last meet of the year as its always a super day(Cody is fighting in Scotland that weekend). But Darren will be racing Bolt for me on the day ,and if Bolt wins can Bolt have my Rabbit stew and Darren have my Bunny burger  Hope all goes well in the last meet and the weather is kind ,Both me and Nicky plus all the kids including my biggest kid (Kirsty) have enjoyed the season with you all.

I knew what he was at ,he wore them to get an advantage at the starting line. His heels were behind the line and his toes were half way up the track along with his dog. He is the only man ever to be barred from Duffy's circus for stealing the clowns shoes. They were that big and pointy I thought at first he had put his feet in two canoes or was just back from a water skiing trip at Antrim Forum. Think I will stick to the chaps Glen, they don't look as bad even with my saggy arse in them :D:D :D

A Tribute to the late John Shaw who passed away  last Thursday 6th November 25

      I Am Free
Do not grieve for me now my  friends and family, I am free
I am following the path God Laid for me
I took his hand when I heard him call
I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day
To Love, to live, to hunt, to show my treasured Whippets, or play.
I found a peace at close of day.
Be not burdened with the times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow
Perhaps my time seemed all to brief
Do not lengthen it now with undue grief
Lift up your hearts my friends and share with me
      God wanted me now,
      He set me free.
John, we will love you forever and you will be sadly missed by your loving family and all your Country Sporting Fraternity and in the show ring.
May the Angels above give you the best seat in Heaven and may your gentle soul rest in peace.
      For Country Sports Fraternity
      Margaret Mc Stay
