andyfr1968 772
Hello, Chris. Most of it's just common sense spannering and a little bit of DIY nouse. Also depends on how skilled you are with stripping the thing down and working on it's bits and bobs. It seems that most new guns these days can do with a bit of a strip and a fettle (not just low cost gear....) so firstly you need to get the thing in bits and see what's what. Look for any rough edges anywhere and smooth them out but don't go mad. It's a lot harder to put metal back than it is to take out. Just a little rub here and there with emery cloth to ease any whitness marks. The lube that most guns seem to be assembled with is pretty random so clean it all out and start again. De-grease everything and allow it all to dry. PTFE or nylon piston seals will happily work with no lube but if you can get some pure silicon grease then the lightest smear won't hurt. As for the spring and guide, normal moly grease is OK but again don't over do it.. A light even coating is all you'll need. There are better products available though but for a general strip and service moly will be fine. Be careful upon reassembly that no grease or any other lube (other than silicon) gets in front of the piston seal as this will cause problems with dieselling. Make sure everthing's properly tightened up and you should find the gun's shooting a lot better. Any problems, please ask. Cheers. Edited August 2, 2013 by andyfr1968 3 Quote Link to post

Makes me remember why I don't reply to too many posts these days.... Edit to add...... Where the f**k did manners go these days? Yes, I've had a drink but f**k it anyway.
