Stag Or Hen How To Check

I've two trios if game birds thai shamo Aseel mix x shamo about 12-13 weeks old I was told there was 2 stags and 4 hens how can I check this I'm going to get into these birds so would also like to know for future reference cheers atb JD

not a 100% on this but a hens tail will point upwards and a stags tail should be pointing down or horizontal.this is from when the birds are on the ground and not in your hand as they lift and driop there tails for balance and i think the males stand taller and are genraly a bigger bird.......but as i say im not a 100% on that mate as im fairly new to the gamefowl world.

look at saddle and hackle feathers, pullets will be rounded cocks will be pointy and shiny, catch the light. cocks heads will be redder also. you will only learn through experience.

do you not think a tail is breed dependant? an asil should have tail pointed towards the ground no matter wether pullet or cock, wheras some thais have pointed tails wether pullet or cock

I'm no expert but I don't think the tail pointing up or down is a indication of gender it just takes time the stags should be heavier and stronger looking as that mature not sure of any other way of telling
