Tiercel 6,986
Many years ago I was given an old salmon seign net that had served it's purpose and was only fit for the bin. I cut the net up and used it for various things from cargo nets to pea nets. Last week I was rummaging for some bundles of pegs that I knew were at the back of the shed somewhere, when I came across a bag containing the pea netting that I had cut. I had been thinking what I could use the net for this week and this morning I tried out one of my ideas. The net had been cut in 18 mesh wide strips so I cut some off. First I added an extra row just for it to sit tidy on the ring. Next I had the edges looking like this. So I added a selvedge to it, just to tidy it up a little. End result a very large purse net that cost me pennies and about 15 minutes to make. TC 1 Quote Link to post
