My New Air Arms200

Recommended Posts

Hi all! This is my first post and im going to share with you my opinion on my new air arms s200 in .177!! I picked this rifle up thismorning which costed me £300 some of you may say this was overpriced but this gun was immaculate with not a single scratch on the stock nor a spot of rust! It came with the 10 shot magazine and silencer I fitted this with my own nikko stirling 4-12-50 illuminated reticl scopee. I was abit worried as this was my first 177 rifle it wouldnt have the stopping power as my 22 springer. I zerod the scope in at 35 yard using fx domed pellets. I experimented shooting at ranges up to 50 metres and discovered I needed 1 mill dot holdover which I thought was impressive!!! I soon went out at around 7pm at my permission and as I was sneaking round I noticed a rabbit at around 50 yards so i gave it 1 mill dot holdover and pulled the trigger and down it dropped with a instant kill!!!I strided it out at it was 51 metres. This rifle has really impressed me and I would highly reccomended it!!!

Welcome Ben,

I love my S200

Close range the .22 does more damage and imparts more kinetic energy, (slower moving and a bigger hole) however at 30 yards or more, the .177 does exactly the same job with the same outcome :notworthy::thumbs:
