Unexpected Phone Call

I was just sitting round the house in my shorts and teeshirt, unshaven, unshowered, glad I didn't have to be anywhere or do anything, when the phone rang.

 

I shoot over a small farm and it was the owner who called me. I hoped he wasn't phoning with a problem. No problem. His exact words were "My neighbour knows you shoot here and wondered if you would mind popping in to see him so you can do the same for him. He wants you to shoot pigeons, crows, magpies, rabbits and foxes for him. You know the sort of thing."

 

So the bad thing is I have to get showered and shaved, but with permission as hard as it is to find down here, I'm not going to wait till I get back from France next week, I'm going to see him today.

 

I've seen the land and it's only small, but every little helps.
