my take..? :whistling::blink:

waste of time, effort, money, space, and pellets :yes:

you wont hit a barn door with it. and it will p1ss you off then you will end up throwing it at the target.

try get a hw99s or a bsa supersport or bsa lightning -there not too bad little guns to get you started. :thumbs:

Due to being out of work tho moneys kinda tight so id be looking at around 100 max which is why ive lookedinto stuff like that, thanks for your replies ill have a shop around

thats unfortunate that your out of work mate your not going to get anything decent for that sort of money realistically.

might I suggest .177 then aswell as pellets are cheaper :)

have a look on facebook selling pages my mates picked up a couple of little old bangers off there for less than 100 quid, nothing good enough for hunting, but good enough for shooting tin cans to see if you like shooting. :thumbs:

It will literally be for target practice and the odd rat/rabbit or even small bird as my syndicate has been over run by rats eating the swan muscles and the owner wants them gone and these are rats that will literally come right up to you so no distance needed at all really

Just be careful you know you can't just go shooting any old small birds :thumbs:

Avoid the really cheap SMK stuff old son. As Skot says, you'll end up wasting your money and that's tough enough in times out of work. Look for a good second hand Weihrauch HW80. HW77. HW97. HW98. And you're set for life. Beautiful rifles that will never let you down and still keep y

You might be lucky and find one of those secondhand that Simon said.

These boys are close enough to you and will help guide you to buying a good starter rifle.

Ideally you will be looking for one with open sights as your primary quarry (what you will be shooting) will be so close a scope will be useless!

They have a good secondhand selection and new rifles in the price you are looking at too (SMK XS19 or the venerable Hatsan 55 or 60 models).
