Sorry but no......in fact if you're using a sony camcorder then I'd suggest a laser will work best with that kind of set up,cam-c's need lashings of concentrated Ir light imo,hence why they work better with laser's than they do with Ir led's.

Output won't always mean the best,there's some 200mw + lasers out there but they won't come near say the n1000 which is 100mw by all accounts.

Another good laser is the older pulsar L808 (not the newer L808s) although buying new now is probably a no-go so 2nd hand is the way to go.
