night moocher 41 Posted June 9, 2013 Report Share Posted June 9, 2013 Hi gang , got a shamo hen here just chipped 10 eggs, as soon as she sees one she kills it , ive managed to save 8 in the brooder, anybody else had this happen, shes last yrs bird and first time broody, i;m thinking how to get the young uns back to her but dont want the hen to kill um the ba****d thing. Millet 4,497 Posted June 9, 2013 Report Share Posted June 9, 2013 Personaly i would keep them away from her..if she has killed 2 already it is more than likely that she will do the rest..get them under a electric hen or heat lamp and you won't have to worry about loosing anymore to her..
