Cleaning Rifles

Right guys looking for some rifle cleaning advice.

 

Have never really cleaned my rifle's in all the time I've had them, they aren't used heavily but try to get out now and again.

 

What effect will the lack of cleaning have ?

 

And also how to clean them properly advice for someone who has never done a full on rifle clean. Not really sure what I'm doing

 

Rifles are a CZ 452 - 17HMR

And a CZ 550 - 243

copper solvent, phosphor bronze brush, cleaning patches, a cleaning rod or pull though and gun oil.

This is a commonly asked question, and of course everyone knows the BEST way to clean their rifle.

 

Just the same, perhaps a pinned version covering the basics may be an idea!

 

There must have been some half decent responses historically that a pinned version could be based on.
