Not the same dog Jonesy fella keeps himself to himself doesn't court publicity just lives for working his dogs he is a top lad . JCM just get out with your pup give it time and plenty of work the Barney dog would be at best 2 generations back maybe more so I would be more interested in its sire and dam . Rabbit Hunter 6,613 Posted May 21, 2013 Report Share Posted May 21, 2013 I believe the 'Barney' dog was a black and tan from Barnard Castle, there's a pic of it in Frain's 'Middleton' book. I've a couple of mates that have a grandson and great grandson of the dog and they're both fox only at best. 1 Quote Link to post
