GEOFF.223 83
i gave my barrel a good clean as i have had it a few years now yes it was very dirty but after cleaning accuracy was away off averaging 2"+ groups at 30yards. so 500 pellets later it has started to become accurate again so is it pointless cleaning a pcp barrel ? Skot Ruthless Teale 1,701
I wouldnt use the word 'pointless' .. they just dont need cleaning very often.. Quote Link to post
AirgunGuy 362
If its no broke, dont fix it ;-) Does seem a lot of pellets to re-lead though :-/ Was it a proper clean? A lot of people recommend just a couple of felt pellets through the barrel to take out excess but not all ;-) Edited April 18, 2013 by AirgunGuy Quote Link to post
GEOFF.223 83
yea gave it a full clean out the way you would do a center fire rifle. put a gull tin of bis mags through it the a tin of h&n baracudas and it started to become more accurate on the 3rd tin. considering changing my full size hw100 26ftlb .22 fac to a 12ftlb hw100 177 carbine Quote Link to post
ghillies 209
if the barrel pellet combo likes lead then use cleaning pellets, one slight oiled one 3 dry for a clean, and put a couple dry ones through after a shooting day if you use a full fill. if the acuracy goes a bit, ease of with the wad cleaners till you suss it. and yes its a royal pain in the but lol.
