mushroom 14,247 Posted April 13, 2013 Report Share Posted April 13, 2013 (edited) I've got a kilo of small sardine/baby mackerel/small whiting type fish here, truth be told I ain't got a feckin clue what to do with them I consider myself pretty savy in the kitchen but these things have me puzzled. stewie 3,387 Posted April 13, 2013 Report Share Posted April 13, 2013 (edited) take some olive oil, garlic,lime juice and zest and a chilli.......mix together.........score the fish and soak them in the mixture.........then get a biscuit tin..........cover the floor with uncooked rice and tea leaves.........ripping open a few tea bags is fine lol but some wire wool in it and place fish on top.........light a fire and place tin on top of fire with lid on, with a small hole punchered in top ...........when smoke begins to come out the hole turn the fish over after 6 mins..........drizzle rest of mixture over them........leave in tin for another 6 mins.............voila........... mushroom 14,247 Posted April 14, 2013 Author Report Share Posted April 14, 2013 Funny as hell Stewie lol I ended up putting them in a large pyrex dish with courgette and onion, loads of garlic, fresh herbs (dill, basil, oragano, parsley) seasoning, lashings of olive oil and pureed fresh tomatoes. Then baking for 30 mins ended up looking like a large tin of sardines in tomatoe sauce :laugh: But tasted absolutely lovely Just had the left overs on toast with Habanero puree (direct from Mexico and a real arse stinger) Quote Link to post Share on other sites

FOOK ME that was the most stupidest thing ive ever done!!!! i was sick for ten mins, my hole body was on fire, sweating like f**k and even drinking milk made it worse!!!! chillies are amazing in food if you treat them right............treat them wrong and you will only hurt yourself............
