secretagentmole 1,701
I have shot a pre HE and HE gas ram, I think the pre HE is smoother, the HE has a slightly faster lock time. I like the pre HE better (I would do mind you, I own one). I would also look at the HW90 (HW reliability and Theoben power plant), not one to be discounted! Quote Link to post
lee81 190
cheers just had a read up on the hw 90 and i carnt make my mind up what whuld you go for 22 or 177 Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
.22 is generally reckoned to be better in gas ram (not so snappy) but if you can manage the .177 (apparently the 90 does a good job of soaking up the recoil) go for it. Try the and see which one you like best, it is all very subjective! Quote Link to post
villaman 9,982
Had a HW 90 it was awful ,just would not group with any pellet took it back and had a refund .Talked to other people about them and got mixed review with them . Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Same with any gas ram, you either love or loathe them! The uni directional (ie moves one way) recoil surprises many who are used to the twist of metal spring uncurling. A good artillery hold will sort out most accuracy problems! The gun just comes straight back at you, which makes any perceived recoil seem worse (metal springs lurch both ways which means you lose some of the force felt coming back at you with the gas ram). It is not worse, just going one way! Quote Link to post
