low plains drifter 11,202
You seem to have quite a variety of saluki breeding there captain, maybe you could breed a new line of dogs that can do the business on any land, hope you enjoy testing your dogs on the big land next season, sure you will enjoy yourself whatever happens atb mate Quote Link to post
captain2010 2,806
Yeah all saluki kind of breeding there but that brown hairy dog bit of terrier saluki and deerhound in the mix with him his grandfather is huck so he looking really fast so far and a good dog to be around,I will try and breed and my own stuff once they have fully proven themselves drifter but as you said either way I am in for the enjoyment of it all and hopefully get one that can do it on all types of land, but either way I am happy if they can do it here in Ireland on big and small fields always like to watch a good tight dog and good around wire hedges fearless heart in the mouth stuff lol,I can't wait till the winter already pal Quote Link to post
low plains drifter 11,202
You are as keen as they come captain, sure you will bring the best out of all your dogs,I am craving a pup ,but trying to find a job is the priority for me at the minute,my youngest dog will be 8 year old on the last day of july, his running style is identical to the red irish bred dog i've got,his sister looks very like your red bitch, the lad who owns her got her as his first dog off me when she was 10 months old, she's as agile as a cat, very short coupled with a real thick saddle and thick back legs,he's caught a lot of strong ones on the hilly land with all the bumpy ground and wire fences,I call these field salukis, and they are something special,I wonder if something has gelled between the Irish terrier and the saluki Quote Link to post
