ArchieHood 3,692
I ventured over to meet Chrismdd again yesterday to have a final go at the rabbits.Chris has usually finished by now but with the young ones not showing much we decided to have another day.First port of call was a nice long hedgerow and a couple of warrens that could be surrounded by the long nets, this produced a total of ...........1, with one other slipping through Chris's legs. The only other highlight was watching the ferrets chase a couple of young ones above ground. We moved on to a couple of other fields that were to be done with the purse nets, we made our way around the headland netting and again bolted a rabbit before the ferret was dropped in.Things were looking up here and we soon had 5 more in the bag.We carried on for a couple more hours but could only manage another 2 making a total of 8 with 2 escaping our grasp. The story of the day was fresh newly dug burrows produced nothing while the old hidden ones came up trumps.Good weather and a good craic with Chris was again had. Until next time..................... 5 Quote Link to post

chrismdd 787
Cheers for the day and the write-up Rik. Looking forward to next season and we'll try out those new permissions. When the river season starts in June we'll have a go at catching those roach and chub and net a few of those crayfish for tea. Chris Quote Link to post
