Wanted Small Air Rifle Scope 20Mm, 28Mm, 32Mm, Something Like That.

For a small ASI Gamo Cadet that I'm doing up for my nephew and (eventually) my son.

 

I need to put a new scope on it that will make target acquisition a bit easier. It currently has a VERY old 4x15 on it and my poor nephew just can't get a sight picture through it.

The rail grooves on the rifle are 15mm apart so I can't go too big, also I don't want the scope to out weigh the gun!

 

What have you guys and gals? I got a bit of cash waiting for the right set.

No worries Jim.

I've a 6x40 un-branded scope you can have.

I bought it for my son's first air rifle a couple of years ago. It's only been used a handful of times, and he's now progressed onto other guns/scopes.

I'm all for promoting "youngsters" into the sport so you can have it for free. All i ask is the cost of postage, which should be no more than a fiver.

You'll obviously need a set of mounts. If i can find the original set i'll include them to. But failing that there must be someone on the forum here who has a suitable 25mm set of mounts for you. Anybody out there???

Let me know if that suits. No problem if it's not what you're after. Just say either way.

The only problem I can see is that the rail on the gun is 15mm and I don't know of any mounts for a "normal" size scope tube that then scale down to fit a 15mm rail. Did it work well on your sons gun weight wise?

I'm really not trying to seem picky about what is a wonderful offer, I'm very grateful. I'd just hate to take it off you if it won't work on this little gun, perhaps preventing someone else getting the benefit.

If it will work it'll be amazing, Either way you're a legend!

Not so sure about the legend bit, but yes it worked a treat out to around 20-25 yards, (never tested it any further) when my son was learning. No idea about the mounts? I think standard airgun mounts are 11mm aren't they Anybody able to confirm that??

I'll try and find the mounts for you Jim and get back to you.

Hi jim I have a the mounts that may fit ya scope for ya gamo u can have .the mounts that came off my 4x40 scope if u would like them pm me your address and al send them off to u if there any good mate and good luck with the gamo mate as I have just gave a freind ov mine one ov them for his grand son and he loves it so good luck mate and I hope ya nephew enjoys his riffle when u get it sorted Atb (blade)

Hi jim will post mounts in morning as av never had time with work but off tomorrow so post first thing as a said dont want nothing for mounts and postage just want to see them get some use and to here the you one is going to enjoy shooting mate so will b with you soon atvb blade
