PeakOil 352
As a country, we are spending £330 million a day more than we take in !! God help us !! Aye, well times that £330 million by 365, then times that by 7 (2008 to 2014) to get where we will be at this time next year. Then add on all the debt before that. Then add on the compound interest that adds to the total every day. Now how 'we' going to pay all that back while still overspending by say £300 million a day? What if New Old Labour, or are they now Old New Labour win the next election and decide to up that over spend to £350 million a day or £400 million a day? Going off that c**t Balls whining on the radio last night about spending more to 'help the economy'
Malt 379
What bothers me is there's no actual money being borrowed so the figures just keep growing exponentially.. Currency is based on nothing real, so where the f**k will it all end? If it was based on something finite like gold, the gold would eventually run out leading to a f***ing huge crash. It wouldn't be ideal, but at least it could bottom out and have somewhere to start again from. As it stands, all that is happening is that interest payments keep going up on a debt we'll never manage to pay off.. No wonder a certain section of society is getting richer at a faster rate now than before this financial crisis kicked off in '08.. It also pisses me off that they're getting rich off lending the government money that belongs to someone else as well - the British public.. It's messed up when the government borrow money off the public only for the public to have to pay it back to themselves with interest..

dytkos 17,918
Sorry. Thought you meant it was lambing season coming up Cheers, D. Twat! Call yourself a fellow Celt? Wouldn't expect that cheap shot off a proper Cornishman with the flag of St. Pirrin flying under his name and everything... Sorry Malt, that'll be St. Pirran and I'm a Lancastrian. Been down here doing missionary work for over 20 years now Cheers, D. Well that explains it... Wouldn't have the cheek to fly a Cornish flag if I wasn't Cornish myself, but each to their own... Living the dream, mate, Living the dream Cheers, D.
