Air Rifle From Usa?

Hi guys I got friend in Maryland USA and he offer a gift for me an air rifle from USA send through the U.S.mail??!!! but I am not sure if it can pass the UK custom or not? I did ask him to wait until I ask first?? any legal advice ? is it possible to receive an air rifle from USA by mail?? waiting for opinion...cheers

I would of thought its ok to post it but it will have to be sub 12fp or your into fire arms import n a hole lot of trouble

Oh!! that's a good news than I will ask my friend to go a head and send it..... Yes Bud its a sub 12fp my friend visiting me a lot from USA and he knows the British law regard the power limit for the air rifles....Thanks for the information....Cheers

However if you use an importer you pay tax, if it is a gift, I don't think you have to!
