Millet 4,497
I alway's find it easier if you have another dog to take them out with in the beginning..as it seem's to draw there attention away from the lead..some folk like to put a collar and lead on the pup in the house or garden and let them walk around dragging it about for a few short spell's a day..personaly i just fling them in at the deep end with a nother dog.. 1 Quote Link to post
sowhat 1,572
I always put cheap collars on the pups from poundland lol from about 8 weeks old, so as they are used to having something round their neck, and then like millet, just take them out with another dog when they are old enough. Some dogs take to the lead straight away, others take abit of gentle persuasion, but they soon learn ,just be patient. 1 Quote Link to post

woz 260
Get the dog taking food out of you hand (tiny amounts) then get the dog to walk following your hand reward frequently then clip the lead on n keep pup following your hand.....this is the basis for lead training..heel...sit....down and retreve... 1 Quote Link to post
