Yokel Matt 918
Its only £50 quid at stake but its niggling me. In process of buying a scope off local gunsmiths... spoke to the manager who said it wasn't in stock but that he could get it for me for £350. I phoned back next day, spoke to another chap and quoted conversation with manager, who said he would place the order and take 50% on a card. I then get a message on my phone saying that the cost will be £387 plus £9.95 postage! and that my card has been debited. Spoke to the bloke this morning who said the list price has gone up but im feeling a bit pissed off about the whole thing... can i hold them to the original price? Scope is a Meopta Artemis 2100 7X50 IR by the way.
scouse moocher 0
If somebody representing their company has quoted and agreed a price with you and then changed it once your card has been debited half of the amount you should insist you will not be paying a penny more than the original quoted amount, if they cannot keep to this promise request the amount be immeadiatly re-debbited back onto your card and the order cancelled. RatSnatcher 0
Hi mate as far as I am aware they are only legally able to debit your card when the goods have been received by yourself, cancel the order and search else where
ferret15 0
as above they cant quote one price then debit your card for another that is theft tell them that if they want to do business with you its at the agreed price if not you want your money back if they are still being funny speak to trading standards they will investigate them even if it doesn't help you it might make them think twice about doing it again if nothing else this is bad business they should of contacted you to check you were OK with the new price IMO i wouldn't do business with them again out of principle.
