FERRET LOCATOR IM GOING TO TEST ...

came across this advertisement in a model aircraft magazine that gets delivered to me... by putting a transmitter in your model aircraft you can locate it within 600 feet up to an inch when she goes down..... im going to attach a transmitter to a collar. ill keep you lot updated on how i get on. this will also be ideal for working dogs..

have seen this mentioned before, and if it works then great,

 

but,

 

if it dont, then thats £60 down the swanny,and still need to lay out £100 on a proper one,

 

plus its locate only, so if it does get you above your fert, you still dont know how far down it is, a foot or 15 foot?

means having to dig slower, save cutting your fert in half with a shovel

 

think for the extra £40 Id rather know the depth too

i aint fussed about the £60... if it dont work with the ferrets id stick it in my planes... and obviously if it dont tell me the depth i wont be using it. but as the add says it searches up an inch !

before i forget i have a mk3 locator, but theres no harm in trying new methods..... as i say you could always use this for working dogs aswell.

I work for a company who make level indicators i am going to ask the man who invents the products if he can make summat to use for ferrets, i will ask him later & see what he thinks :)

They said they will have a look at whats involved for now, they didnt totally dismiss the idea :) theres no harm in a little competition in my opinion :D
