kruby01 114
Well I thought I would get out early this morning and catch the last few dark hours so I got to the farm about 5:30 and settled down on a ridge in the field that looks directly over the main burrow on the farm. I was all wrapped up in thermals and my fluffy deer stalker hat in a little world of my own looking down the scope for Mr bunny to show his face. I looked up to see a barn owl swooping down with his claws about 5 ft from my head. Guess my hat looks like prey! A quick jump up and a 1000 lumen lamp in his face soon made him realize i wasn't going to be a good meal choice! First time I've had an owl come anywhere near me and I do a lot of night shooting. 2 Quote Link to post

kruby01 114
LoL .good luck next time It wasnt a bad morning to be honest, was there 3 hours and bagged a rabbit and 2 woodies which isnt bad for a perm that usually produces nothing when out with the rifle. its good with the shotgun but everythings lamp shy so you cant get close and obviously passing pigeons are a no go. just a case of being patient and sitting in cover Quote Link to post
