secretagentmole 1,701
Only been out a couple of times this week, both times equipped with the German anti pigeon gun that is the HW 100 KT. First trip out the camera ran out of battery. Flock came in and I shot one off a tree 10 yards behind and 10 yards up! Second one was virtually straight above me! Then I went into a part of the forest I had left alone, not been in, they were roosting and asleep. Two pigeons, bare branches, apart 2 feet apart. The biggest one was on the right, aimed carefully and fired, the one on the left never moved, aimed at the one on the left, it too never woke up! Snigger! Walked forward to pick them up and about 40 left! Oh well, 4 in the bag! Second trip out I took some camera batteries with me! A shotgunner on the neighbouring farm was making everything nevervous. but still managed to stalk up on one as I was getting into position. A few more landed between the gunners fits and starts, so was able to get one of those. I took a final walk round in those last fitful moments of twilight, 40 minutes after the sun has subsided and managed to stalk under some in another bare tree. The gunner meant the were still awake so only got one. But another 3 down! Good job they taste so nice! Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
You may also notice I have subjected Otto to some plastic surgery, just like his namesake in the TV Series. He has had a nose job! It seems to help when pigeon hunting! Quote Link to post
