S200 + Scope Trouble

Recommended Posts

Hi there.

Put another, reliable scope on the rifle and see if the same thing happens. If it does, your rifle barrel is off true. If not, you have a faulty scope. See if you can get it changed for new under the warranty.

All the best for it.

Yer piano an took it right out of my mouth... Unless you have had a tumble with the s200 it's more than likely the scope... Make sure all mounts are done up, and they haven't come loose. Rule out the easy things first but it's more than likely the scope.. What scope is it??

If your scope was OK before then you might have disturbed your barrel alignment by your gun falling over when rested, or have you clonked your gun at any time? as your gun is recoilless your scope hasnt been subject to recoil forces. Slack off your forward barrel support then retighten and start again to check your zero.

:hmm: Hrrm, You have got me there Bud, Normally on PC rifles most have a barrel support bracket on the end of the air cylinder ALA AA 400/410 and other makes rifles.Has your barrel support any free movement at all with the locking screw slackened off? I forget if the AA200 fill valve cover is a screw thread like the AA400/410/510. if so remove the fill valve cover and see if the barrel bracket ihen has movement! as advised before, a scope on a recoilless rifle is'nt subject to outside forces to alter POI unless it's been dropped or banged to cause such a problem. recheck again, then advise again. Cheers. Tron.

I'm wondering if its your scope mate, I have heard of all the elevation clicks being used up which you can higher the scope to adjust it,but never the windage. This has got me stumped. Make sure nothing else on the rifle is loose, strip it down to the stock and put it all back, not over tightening anything. The support doesn't move because u have to take your fill cylinder out the under the bolt underneath, then it should slide out.
