Out Today

Was out today on a permission near my house that i got two weeks ago and the farmer said ehe had been there since he was 14 and it had never been ferreted .... Alan collected me at half 8 and we where ready to go at 9 it was a long hedge so Alan started one end and i started the other i had my hob and my jill(it was her first day out)..Alan had his two greyhound does i also got 4 20ft long nets durin the week so i took two and Alan took two so we collared up and split up i sent in my hob he bolted three and had to dig 2ft for the fourth in the first set Alan got 4 into the longnets in his first one...then for the second warren i entered the jill and after about 5 minutes two bolted into the longnets and got a mark of 4ft an she was in a stop end so very happy with her then moved on to the third warren and put the jill in again and got 5 out of this with her Alan was also on his third and had 15 rabbits already i had 13 then onto the 4th warren i put in the hob bolted 6 and dug to him once at 4ft e had killed a big buck then just as i pulled him out i saw Alans deerhound x collie coursing a black rabbit it was a brilliant course and a good catch ..Then onto my last warren put in the jill she bolted six then surfaced but went back down and bolted another one Alan was on his last too but only got two of it so we ended the day with 45 i was delighted with jill she did brillaint and the other three ferrets did brilliant too..sorry no pictures forgot to charge the camera and phone not an option as it is a nokia blockia but we had a brilliant day and a very happy farmer
