Nuttall89 2
This morning went out on a friends farm for a bit of rabbit hunting. Was a massive field surrounded by hedges and narrow woodland the length of it. The field was pretty much unusable as it had been plowed and about two inches deep in water! Didnt fancy laying in that ha! We walked around the woodland to see what we had, sighted three rabbits and a couple of pheasants but by the time we had they were long gone. Ended up shooting old shotgun shells bit more target practice. All in all a good first morning out although we didnt catch anything probably due to not being that quiet at first! Best way to learn is from your mistakes so I'm not disappointed and onto the next one! 1 Quote Link to post

bigmac 97kt 13,744
The more you go out the more you learn its not all about going out all the time and shooting rabbits even though we would all like to but you will learn more the more you go out like what time there out ,where they are, and how to be quiet under foot ,where to put your foot ie not on falling twigs you will learn alot by just going out even with out your gun and try going at night with a lamp or early in the morning and get to know the land you shoot on atvbmac Quote Link to post
