rob190364 2,594
At least you got it in your bag, I 'necked' a bunny when out ferreting, dropped it to get another that bolted only to watch the first one run off like nothing happened. I tried to keep my pride by acting like it must have been nerves, but I knew, like you know now that the mocking is deserved, and words do hurt feelings Quote Link to post
Mixed Bag 603
if you neck a rabbit properly the head and neck are dislocated let this be a lesson to all you spaghetti armed ninja karate choppers and back of the head punchers 1 Quote Link to post
low plains drifter 11,307
just came back from a few hours lamping. Opened up the game bag and theres sat a rabbit. Grabs it out to see if it was just the way it was lay but it was fully alive. Was about to dispatch it and decided to check it over. Its wasnt injured at all. 'Walking' fine around my garage and no marks apart from a small scratch on its leg. I pondered over what to do After a wee think i thought it fair to let it go. Went down the woods and let it off. Now after a lengthy course with my dog (cant be sure but probable) and being dispatched once by me i felt it deserved a chance to run again. Now this may not have been the right thing to do....or it might of.....but its done now and feel my christian good deed is done for the rest of the season I'm not surprised you have'nt got the strength to take a rabbit out,if that tiny 4 wheel drive thing is your lamping chariot Quote Link to post
