tegater 789
You can ferret all year round if you have to, but most do it in the winter months, when there aren't as many young about, and the undergrowth has died down. Cold frosty days being some of my favorite providing the ground isn't that hard you can't get a spade in if you have to. Hope this helps Quote Link to post
ratpackjack 272
And the cold is coming and i would not put my lot to ground when young are present or when to overgrown to see things clearly Quote Link to post

huntingladjohn 14
i usually go by months with an R in.... but all depends on if its for sport or pest control and weather there are young rabbits about, i tend not to ferret if i know there are young about just to save my self from digging like a mad man all over the place lol Quote Link to post
The one 8,592
Usually in the winter when the rabbits are not breeding but in some areas they seem to be breeding all year round , ferreting in the summers no so common due to the ferret killing the young rabbits in the burrow but in some cases if the cover allows it you can make a decent bag Quote Link to post
