mhopton 807
How many ferrets were you running in the 70+ hole warren mate I've got a 50+ hole warren on my land and run two polecat Jill's down one ether side , it takes for ever to work but always produces 5 or 6 but I know there must be more I'm thinking of trying 3 in next time any thoughts would be a big help atb mark Quote Link to post
bunny tickler 876
as its shallow digs ,we put a hob polecat in them maybe another later on ,these lads dont mess about if bunny lugs dont bolt its end of story the digs are not more than a foot deep usually as for the jills they cant take the beatings the rabbits give them , they may bolt several but over the day the little jills get too much hammer , if its deep buries we tend to use single ferrets , if it was me mark i would start from the bottom working the hedge up ,you can have too many ferrets in a warren ,get a hob as well ,like i say the jills can come off after several good kickings off the rabbits ,thats my way of doing it anyway ,others have there own ways cheers pete Quote Link to post
