Hi what is the best way to get your dog nice and fit fast but with out over working her, i take her for a walk every day for about a hour or two but she don't seems fast enough?? on and off the lamp

 

 

 

 

What dog would you say is best for ferreting ect as the land round here ant to big so need a 2nd dog that fast of the mark.

Nothing gets a dog fit like working them.

 

I road walk an hour every morning and lamp at least 3 times a week. Usually have a big mooch at weekends aswell.

Well with my dogs we walk 4-5 mile a day sone days more depending on what's happening , plenty mooching on varied terrain , road walking and obviously working them. Depends on the dog how much it requires to get it really fit tbh

get a bike and cycle with them that will soon get them fit

where i live is full off walks and no roads lol she is a whippet collie greyhound but seems more collie

If she's really thrown to the collie then all the fitness in the world may not get the speed you are after.

get saluki greyhound whippit or bed whippit mate good enough on rabbits and other things

get her out jogging alongside the bike..and plenty of runs on the bunnies..she looks a nice strong little bitch..should do great where you are on the bunnies.

she will be a nice looking dog when she,s fully matured and fit.. still young and inexperienced.

 

get her out with the ferrets..good way of getting her going.

 

ask on here if anyone is willing to let you have a walk out with them..theres a lot of good decent lads who go out down your way and plenty of land to go at with game about.

ok thanks bud where would be the best place for me to ask, as i dont have much land for her to run.

If I were you I would get her fit and put plenty of work into here before getting another dog.Its just a pup try and be patient.Good luck.
