Old geezer 5
It was Saturday night,my Mrs was watching one of the worst programmes on tv,x factor,so i decided to walk down to the pub in the village. When i set of there was abit of a breeze blowing but nothing serious. After 2 or 3 pints i thought i had better go home.As i left the pub the breeze had turned into a gale,i had only walked about 50 yards when a sudden gust whipped me best cap of me ead,oh heck,it was me favorite cap an all,it was dark and after a quick look around i thought sod it i'll come back in the morning for a better look.Anyway i got home ok and eventually went to bed.During the night the wind howled and screamed around the house and the rain battered against the windows.About 1-30am we heard a loud crack,i lay there for abit but my wife said she was worried about the noise,i said it would be nowt but got up and went out into the back garden with a torch.I was amazed to find that part of my dog kennel roof had blown off,my young lurcher was still sat in her box wet through and shivering with cold but hadn't budged,i brought her in and dried her off and let her spend the night curled up on the sofa. what a night,so next morning i had to repair the kennel and then go to look for my cap which i never did find.
