gwendevine 14
got to agree with gem, its highly unlikely that a horse would abort due to the sound of an air rifle or caller, personally i think the owner of the horse was defo feeling sad and wanted some reason her mare aborting and unlucky for you she chose to blame you. i have horses and my husband and friend shoot shot guns regularly very close to the paddock, granted mine have got used to the noise so they are fine with it but im sure that that mare has heard other noises before, so would not spook enough to cause that much stress, i would put my money on it that its not your 'fault', and i would tell her to stick her permission and good luck when shes over run with vermin that can bring disease into her horses grazing! good luck getting more permission, hopefully off someone who will be slightly more appreciative and not put that blame on someone, its wrong. its sad the mare aborted but thats natures way sometimes! atb Quote Link to post
