johnrthrfrd 223 Posted November 7, 2012 Report Share Posted November 7, 2012 Had another trip out last Saturday just me meg (the lurcher) and a hob kitt off this year a got from a mate at work got to the first 3 hole set put the hob in after a bit of pxxxxxg about he disappeared after a while the tell tale squealing he had got hold of his first coney meg stuck her head down hole and pulled the rabbit out with the ferret still attached to its axse , Moved to another small set no messing about this time he new what it was about now and bolted 2 rabbits straight away then wandered out and had a play with the dog in the frosty morning sun.further up the hedge and back to business a wasent bothering to much about netting holes still a lot of nettles about am getting soft in me old age so just the easy ones megs job to sort the other ones out in he went and out pops a bunny from under the nettles it headed straight up the hedge but meg was under the hedge and after it, another 1 that won't be eating any more of the farmers cabbages decided to have a rest and watch the world go by with a bottle of lucazade old age again . Then a guy apears it was a bloke from some posh houses near by a sorted some rabbits out in his garden last year he said he had seen some more so of we went to his house on the way he phoned his misses when we got there she presented us with brecky the full monty even a drink for meg after demolishing the scran a forced me self out into the garden didint look like there was much about but had to have ago first set nowt second set 1 then a 5 holer at the bottom of the garden last year a rabbit came out and headed straight up the garden with meg after it straight towards the conservatory a rabbit popped out of he same hol as last year but didint get far this year she is learning so that was that back home for lunch time showe and out to the boozer for a few bottles of brown dog all in all a very enjoyable day.
