3 million unemployed and they can't find someone to drive trains??

Recommended Posts

When I worked in the railway industry annual hours contracts were being introduced for drivers which was OK if driver weren't offered "overtime" but on the flip side a driver could complete his annual hours in a matter of months and then wouldn't have to work until the start of the new contract year thus leading to driver shortages.

The trouble is, if folk start to get up to the higher tax threshold then many of them can't see the point in letting the tax man take half their hard earned, they would rather have the time off.

That's " fairness" for you!!
