When they have healed start soaking your dogs feat in potassium sulphate its purple granuales you dilute in water it will harden your dog's feet up my dad do's it to his running dog's..

permanganate not sulphate very good for all fungal infections aswell, even athletes foot in humans :thumbs:

My dogs took 2.5 months to get to the point where I could get her back out from exactly the same thing, a slice running down the side of the stopper so everytime she bent her wrist it pushed it open. She chewed out two lots of staples and in the third after cutting away the dead flesh it finally healed.
