Acuspell 329
Sounds like you are holding it too tight. At 10 yards, where is the pellet landing? It should be just a tad low. 13 yards - 16 yards spot on. This will depend on your zero range. Can you put up a large witness screen behind the target board, just so you can see where the fall of shot is? Work it out from there - are you altering the zoom when changing range? If so DON'T! Zoom scopes, ESPECIALLY CHEAPER ONES, will alter zero when the zoom changes except on multiples of the same magnification factor. eg 3-9 power scope. Zero on 6x and it should work fine on 3x - but not necessarily on 9x! Zero at 9x and it should be fine at 4.5x - but could well be out on 6x and other mags. Try setting up at a fixed distance (longer the better, 25 yards OK). Put up an A4 sheet of paper, shoot one pellet at it to give you an aiming mark. Now shoot a group at ONE magnification and set it up so that it is zeroed for that magnification. Fire another pellet at a clean part of the paper.Change the zero and fire a group, just to see where they go. Do the same for a couple of other magnifications, justto see what happens. If the zero alters, go for the middling magnification (6x??) and work with that. I shoot nearly all my stuff on 6x only because of this zero shift. Quote Link to post

johnwhit 4
Leapers 3-12x44, great scope for under £100, I have the 3-9x44 on my HW77. Mounted on a Sportsmatch medium height mount, objective lens 2mm above the action, just enough room for the objective cover. http://www.jsramsbottom.com/products/riflescopes-leapers/swat31244ir36color-leapers-swat-3-12x44-full-size-illuminated-mil-dot-30mm-side-focus-scope-36-colou.html ATB, John Quote Link to post
