Funny you should mention this, I was talking to a fella at the mart on Saturday. He told me he'd caught his first fox in a cage trap, and seeing as how I failed fooking miserably at same I asked what he used.

A bucket of blood! He made a trail of it into the trap where he put a good bit of it. Good idea if you've access to it, or just knock off someone you don't like 8)

Just get it set and leave it. When your checking it dont be touching it or standing on the run thats near it. Check it from a distance if you can.............

I've managed to get 8 in mine. Leaves and earth all over the bottom of the cage, and I stood paving slabs round 3 sides at the end where the bait is to stop them taking it through the mesh.

I don't know if foxes are fussed how fresh the bait it as I just leave it till it stinks and they still take it.
