SBS Question

Recommended Posts

I have a really old AYA SBS that I use occasionally for rough shooting as it doesn't matter if it gets dinks or scratches.

I'm left handed and this is the only right handed gun I own. It's double trigger, with the forward trigger being on the right, so I have to reach through to pull this trigger first.

When I fire it sometimes hurts my finger, and I assume it's because it is laid out wrong for me. Is it a D.I.Y job to reverse the triggers so the forward one is on the left?

Or would you just fire the left barrel first?

Thanks.

No sarky comments please. :tongue2:

Have a word with a gunsmit see if it can be bent at all, otherwise live with it, as I do being a left hooker.

To have the triggers switch over would mean the blade of the trigger inside the action would be a different shape and set either further forward or back depending on which trigger.

The sear levers are always together so that should do it. If you know anyone good with fine metal work it would probably be a really easy job. Otherwise it's a gunsmith's role.

Have a look inside the action of the gun with the trigger plate removed so you can see what I mean, only if you're confident enough to put it back together that is
