Does my Girlfriend Need A Shotgun Certificate

I am just applying for my Shotgun Certificate.

 

If I was to go clay pigeon shooting and my girlfriend came with me, could she shoot my gun without a certificate?

 

Also could we take 2 guns? Which i was the owner of both? Could she carry one without a licence?

No she won't need one, Aslong as the guns are in your name and your with her all the time.

 

If she wants to go alone with one of your guns she can't.

Must be a licensed club. Note rules are different for rifles where the 'estate condition' may apply.

As long as the Clay Club holds a S11 Exemption ( most do ) and your g/f is not disqualified from possessing a shotgun .

She only occasionally comes with me. I will get her a gun for when she does because im 6'1" and 16 stone and shes 4'11" and about 8 Stone! So would need considerably different sized guns.

 

But i dont see the point in getting her a licence for how often it is that she would come, just didnt want to be breaking the law by letting her shoot.

make sure she does,nt have any access to your gunsafe mate,or even know the where-abouts of your key's!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'v taken my girlfirend a few times and she likes it so might end up getting her a license!
