anyone know how to put seals in guns in bolton area

hi, anyone know how to put a seal in a bsa hornet, need the gun doing over the weekend, its leaking air where the mag goes, can anyone help.

Sounds like one of the small O rings on the brass transfer port is blown. not a 10 min job on a Ultra, Hornet or Scorpion.should have got yourself a AA410/ 400 much easier.

sorry tron appreciate you helping, iv had it done that many times now though & dont know why it keeps happening its just unreliable, im a bit impatient like that, anyway i got myself an aa410.

Thats a good choice Jim, Very reliable gun extremely easy to strip and repair.noware as compliated as the BSA range. only need a couple of allen keys to do it. Well done.

Good choice mate. I have a BSA Superten and a AA S410 and while both shoot extremely well the S410 is a much simpler rifle and so much easier to work on. Parts are very cheap also

yeh i think it is too, i wanted this when i got the hornet but couldnt afford it, glad ive gotone now though, went for the 1.77 carbine & it feels nice to hold not too heavy, i dont know anythingsbout stripping them down but sure i can find things out, thanks.

I've just sold a Polished Hogan and have another though i,m keeping that 1 as they are excellent mods once tinkered with. I also have a silver SAK which looks great on the BBK Superten

 

The mod i know of that comes in i silver version is the SAK but it does look bulky in the S410

They don't make Hogans anymore but they do come up on forums from time to time. And yes, they fit fine as it's a standard 1/2" UNF thread.

 

You can alter the baffles inside to make them quieter. With mine, all i hear is the noise of the action of the rifle. With the Superten and SAK it's totally silent from 5 yards away

It's very easy. Simply unscrew the end cap...take out the ally baffles and wrap them tightish with a 2mm felt

Just get the HW , more or less the best you can buy off the shelf ..........
