secretagentmole 1,701
Well the latest auction has been and gone, wound up with a pre HE gas ram Theoben Sirocco. Very easy to cock, too damned easy, bought it knowing there was a problem, which I believe to be a gas ram that is in need of more gas! Anybody any idea where there is a strip down guide for a pre 1990 Sirocco? Quote Link to post
toby63 1,236
might be the gas ram gone fecked or just needs pumping up with a slim jim hand pump. Quote Link to post
Wxm 1,638
might be worth an ask on http://www.gunspares.co.uk/shopdisplayproducts.asp?id=24512&cat=Sirocco Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
I know, but I need to know how to get to the gas ram, a friend is an RFD who will loan us his pump to fix it (he has 40 shotguns in to repair, the seasons started)! So we have the technology, just got to apply it! Edited October 4, 2012 by secretagentmole Quote Link to post
robwelsh 354
If its anything like the gas ram Hw90 my mate had , its on the back of cylinder Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
Which is OK, but how does one get to the cylinder? I would like to fins a step by step stripdown guide, so I don't have to spend three hours searching the carpet for a three eighths gripley or equivalent (see Reaper Man by T Pratchett for the low down on a three eighths gripley)! secretagentmole 1,701
Saviour on a pdeal driven velocipede, have you seen how much these things go for? She is a deluxe (I think), integral scope mounts, but the price, wow! Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
I was under the impression they were not fitted with pump connections until later in production. My source was a gunsmith in gloucester flogging an underpowered, overpriced and much abused specimen. Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
I know where it is now, simple job and Mike, all Siroccos are able to be repumped, they all have the valve at the back of the action! Quote Link to post
robwelsh 354
Mole that's what I'm on about lol my mate is clueless when it comes to guns, an he managed it. Be careful mind, he pumped abit too much an it shot up to 19ft lb Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
I know where it is now, simple job and Mike, all Siroccos are able to be repumped, they all have the valve at the back of the action! Wouldn't be the first time that chap has spoken out of his rear orifice! Quote Link to post
secretagentmole 1,701
They have a car tyre type valve on the back of the action, so careful pressurisation is required but over pressurisation can be reduced dramatically! I am looking forward to getting my hands on this beauty! Quote Link to post
robwelsh 354
Try fitting a fully pumped gas ram in a gun without a proper vice. You can do it pushing down on tables while some pushes pin in? Lol I can remember trying to fit a gas ram to a Webley stingray years ago. An unless you've got a big strong mother f****r u got no chance. Hence the reason they have valves in the rear to pump up after they've been fitted. Unless you have a vice/clamps. Quote Link to post
