Muzzle 0
Good morning. I have been working with dogs for nearly 14 years. Mostly shepherd's dogs- Malinois and Dutch Herders. I train them in protection, tracking, scent discrimination, agility. Any way I don't encourage them to hunt although a few of them have kills, so I've called in a favour and I am about to get a terrier to take control of the rats around the property since I started keeping chickens. I do plan on doing a bit of hunting with the terrier, there is a few guys I know around here who hunt with terriers and one of them has invited me out. The terrier is, I believe mostly Patterdale but with English Bull and some other english terrier I never heard of. Really looking forward to it now so just want to learn a few things about this type of dog and hunting before getting the pup in 2/ 3 weeks. I've a few questions might sound stupid to those into terriers for a long time. My Dad always said 'better keep your mouth shut and have the world think you're a fool than open it and prove them right' personaly I'd rather ask the questions now and not mess up the pup through my lack of experience.
