fertile eggs?

if there set January then there not gonna be good to lay till the back end of the summer then they won't lay much through winter with the dark nights etc or am I wrong? only just starting so any help is great. what's a good breed to begin hatching, ie good results easy to rear?

yeah will bring them on in a brooder with heat lamps. if there not set till January this means they won't be laying

till the back end of summer will they? any help is great as never done it before and would like to get into it a bit. what's the best to start off with ie good hatch rates and easy to rear and stuff?

i would wait untill spring and try hatching bobwhites , even i can manage those
