fireman 10,774 Posted September 21, 2012 Report Share Posted September 21, 2012 Well now you have a bit of extra space you can collect some wild food for them to peck through,sour and milk thistle,fat hen,hard heads,dock seed heads and many others will see them well,nothing like watching them fly down to it and just behave like birds should do and i either just tie them up in bunches or i have a couple of large old flower pots chicken wired over the top and weighted inside so i can just stick the stalks it and make it just that bit more natural sort of thing.I even cut grass seed heads and they love rooting through these and it sure helps cut down on the food bill when collecting wild and it sure helps with there health and condition and one thing is certain mate,Craigyboy would sure approve your set up . 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
