I dont see why it would cause any harm aslong as it doe not get to hot as a mag box alone can dehydrate dog's..my main concern would be will the electric heating wire's in the heat matt effect the magnetic pulses from the box..it might be wise to do a trial run without the dog and test the mag box with a little magnet while the heat mat is running.
