Wxm 1,638
I went shooting on the weekend and where I go is a old rail way lines and the both sides are covered in brambles / stingers / weeds ect for about 100 yards which got me thinking, I know come winter most of it will die back but does anyone clear this from around warrens before going ferreting?? Do you spend a day or so tidying the area or do you just take the rough with the smooth so to speak? Wxm Quote Link to post
Ideation 8,217
Brambles are the problem, the rest is easy enough. For the most part we just clear round the holes, using hands and choppers. Quote Link to post
BEARINATOR 2,928
Clear it whilst there unless tool are needed Quote Link to post
Wxm 1,638
It's heaving with holes and rabbits, about 8 years ago I used to ferret there and so did others so it wasn't too bad but it looks likes no one has been there in a while. It's just been left to go wild Quote Link to post
foxtails 272
if its really bad,,, a couple days before you go ferreting have a go at it,,or if its just stingers, put gloves on and net it on the day you go ferreting,, Quote Link to post
The one 8,612
Trouble is if you clear it before you ferret it ,the rabbits might no bolt due to the noise ,do it a week or so earlier and somebody else might ferret it , see it they will let you set fire to it ?. Quote Link to post
