bullmastiff 615 Posted August 27, 2012 Report Share Posted August 27, 2012 Flicking through Youtube as you do and saw a thumbnail clip for tying the Butchers knot for trussing up meat joints. so thought I'd try it out. Can't believe I hadn't tried it in the past, it's so simple! Leg boned out. As the meat hadn't been hung it was still a bit slippery so the twine kept slipping off the end of the joint the first time. I had to tie it up a couple of times near the middle just to hold it together whilst I tied it properly then just cut the original loose twine off. After a few attempts this was the end product. Almost looks proffesional! Was so chuffed with how well it worked I had to show someone!! lol 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
